On 10 September 2008, CPI signed Cooperation Framework Agreement on Nuclear Power Development with State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) in Beijing. According to this agreement, CPI and SNPTC will excel each other’s advantages to jointly promote development of third generation nuclear power technology AP1000 in China to realize localization and self-reliance under the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
