On 11 March 2008, CPI and China Shipping (Group) Company signed Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement in Beijing to excel respective advantages to expand cooperation scope, which will have a great impact on coal, electricity and transportation sectors in China.

Both companies expressed wishes to strengthen their joint venture—Shanghai Youhao Shipping Co., Ltd. to guarantee coal transportation and make contribution to national economic development.
