On 18 February 2008, CPI East Inner Mongolia Energy Group Co., Ltd. was unveiled officially. This company is set up on the basis of assets reorganization of CPI Huolinhe Coal-power Company and Baiyinhua Coal-power Co., Ltd. as well as other CPI assets in East Inner Mongolia. The newly established company is designated as a pilot company for recycling industries by Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government.

The reorganization signals a beginning of CPI in business integration of coal chemistry, non-ferrous metal and modern logistics with electricity as the core and coal as the basis. It also marks a milestone in CPI’s endeavor to build five energy and industrial bases and to promote East Inner Mongolia strategy.
