On 24 January 2008, CPI signed a Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation on Energy Development with the Government of Shaanxi Province in the ancient city of Xi’an. According to the framework agreement, CPI will capitalize on its advanced energy technology, rich managerial experience and solid financial strength to construct, as the controlling party, large, efficient and clean coal-fired power and hydropower, nuclear power and new energy projects in line with the electric power development planning of Shaanxi province.
