On 23 December 2007, State Electricity Regulatory Commission held a ceremony for the transfer of 6470MW power generation assets of 8 power plants, during which Yuanbaoshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. was transferred to CPI. Located in Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, Yuanbaoshan has a total installed capacity of 2100MW with one 300MW unit and three 600MW units.
