International Seminar of UNDP-Aided Project “Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection of Power Generation Companies” organized by CPI was held in Beijing on 20-23 October 2008. Over 100 delegates from CPI, UNDP and China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges of the Ministry of Commerce attended the seminar.

Seven experts from Britain, USA, Denmark, Japan, Hungary and China gave presentations on world energy supply and demand, energy conservation laws and policies, pollution control of power generation companies, capture and storage of carbon dioxide, optimized combustion, utilization of renewable energies, etc. Discussions were also conducted on these topics.
