On 25 August 2008, Unit 3 of Zhuxikou Hydropower Plant of CPI Wuling Power was put into 72-hour test running 36 days ahead of schedule.

Located on the Zishui River in Hunan Province, Zhuxikou Hydropower Plant is a multi-purpose project with power generation as the main function and navigation and so on as the supplementary purposes. Four bulb units of 18.5MW each are planned to be installed with a total installed capacity of 74MW. After the construction started in November 2005, Unit 1 and 2 have been put into operation in April and June 2008.
