On 19 June 2008, Jinzhou-Chifeng Railway controlled by CPI was inaugurated in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. After completion, this new railway will increase capacity of coal transportation from north to south, guarantee sufficient energy transportation for revitalizing the old industrial base in Northeast China and play a vital role in economic development and social progress of Liaoning Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
