Unit 4# FGD system of Waigaoqiao Power Generation Company Limited has recently passed 168-hour test run, which marks all 4×300MW units of the company were completely equipped with FGD, becoming the first large thermal power plant with full FGD capability in Shanghai. It was nine months ahead of the FGD schedule set in the Eleventh Five-year Plan of Shanghai for coal-fired power plants.

The four units with FGD system can help reduce approx.18, 000 tons of sulfur dioxide emission each year and dramatically reduce fly ash with efficient electrostatic precipitator.
